With the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Early Life Psychology has been working hard to find ways to continue supporting our families and children.
Early Life Psychology provides Telehealth services in addition to the face-to-face consultations.
Telehealth means, in short, provision of allied health services with the provider and recipient of services being in separate locations, and the services being delivered over electronic media. In other words, Telehealth means that your consultation is conducted via videoconference between you and your psychologist, rather than face-to-face; Telehealth involves video and audio connection.
Early Life Psychology provides Telehealth services using telecommunication software platform COVIU (video conferencing) or telephone (audio conferencing).
You will require access to an internet service – a COVIU link will be provided for your Telehealth appointments.
Early Life Psychology now offers Medicare funded Telehealth appointments to all Australians. Each client is eligible for up to 10 individual psychological counselling sessions per calendar year.
People may access essential health services in their home while they undertake self-isolation or quarantine to reduce the risk or exposure to COVID-19.
A referral is required from your GP, psychiatrist or paediatrician. All referring practitioners will be required to provide signed electronic copies of the referral letter or document (i.e., a mental health care plan). If you have already provided a referral you do not need to obtain a new referral.
